Mass action against coal mining

On 25 April more than 6,000 people formed a human chain close to the Garzweiler coal mine in Germany’s Rhineland.  The message was to “to end coal and accelerate the just transition that should have begun yesterday”, says Emma Bierman from in a blog post.
The action is part of a larger campaign called “Ende Gelände”, with plans for a new mass action on 14–16 August in the same region.
